Brilliant gold in colour, this wine has white flowers and almonds aromas. Powerful on the palate with great minerality. This is the first wine to display any appreciable amount of reduction; in this case, it’s enough to mask the underlying fruit. Otherwise, the racy and almost painfully intense middle-weight flavours exude a bracing minerality that adds a sense of lift to the lemony and more complex finale. This is always one of Latour’s better wines, simply outstanding.
