Description
Domaine Zind-Humbrecht’s 13.6-acre Grand Cru is the most southerly of Alsaces Vineyards, located in the town of Thann. The due south-facing aspect of the vineyard increases the amount of direct sunlight, giving the vines a privileged position on the steep Rangen Hillside with its 70% gradient. Rangen is a late ripening vineyard whose exceptional exposure allows the grapes to mature slowly in October and November.
This wine develops huge Rangen aromatics: flint, smoke, minerals, with more classic ripe white fruits. The mouthfeel is dense, long lasting and full of mineral flavors.
Savor as an aperitif or with poultry in cream or mushroom sauce.

A giant Alsace pinot gris thats brimming with smoke, caramelized-pear, cooked-quince and mushroom aromas. Very deep and ripe, but with spot-on harmony, the hint of grape sweetness beautifully woven into its rich and very complex texture. Astonishing finish thats creamy and salty, smoky and stony all at once.
