Description

For five generations, the Domaine Rion has been a family story. The Domaine RION was founded in 1896 by Pierre Rion, the ex-sharecropper of the Chateau de la Berchere who had acquired the Chateaus vines.

Their vineyards are located in some of the most prestigious villages of the Cote de Nuits: Vosne-Romanee, Chambolle-Musigny, Nuits Saint Geroges and Vougeot. This means they propose a varied range including appellations Coteaux Bourguignons, Village, 1st Cru and Grand Cru.

In Burgundy, the grape harvest usually takes place in September. It is an extremely busy time for the Domaine Rion, there are so many people working on the estate! A minimum of 40 people come to help out during the grape harvest on our estate and all the work is done by hand. They work according to traditional methods, with a touch of modernity.
