Cirillo ‘Ancestor Vine 1850’ Semillon 2019

Description

The Cirillo 1850 Semillon is harvested entirely from a single vineyard at Light Pass in the Barossa Valley. It is believed to be the oldest producing Semillon vine on earth! Picked early in the season, normally in midlate January, it is harvested with great acidity. The fruit is handpicked and basket pressed. The wine is then tank fermented, without oak. It is extremely pale green/yellow, almost clear in colour.
