Brancaia Tre 2018 – 1.5 Litre

Description

A blend of 80% Sangiovese and 20% Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. The basis for this wine, are the grapes from our three estates: Brancaia (Castellina), Poppi (Radda) and Brancaia in Maremma (Grosseto).

This well-structured, medium-bodied wine is aged for twelve months before it is bottled. Two thirds of the expansion takes place in French tonneaux and one in cement. This elegant, well-structured cuve offers plenty of drinking pleasure now or later and goes well with every kitchen.

Ideal with pasta and rice dishes, light roasted or sauted meat, poultry, fried or grilled fish. Our favorite: with Vitello Tonnato with fresh capers.

91 Points – Vinous The 2018 Tre, Brancaia’s Sangiovese/Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot blend, is a sumptuous beauty. Silky tannins wrap around a core of black cherry, plum, leather, spice, licorice and espresso. All the elements are so nicely balanced in this entry-level offering. Don’t miss it.

90 Points – James Suckling A soft, easy red with plums, chocolate and hints of orange peel. Medium body. Fresh at the finish. Tangy with a dusty texture.
