On the border between the Cote de Nuits and the Cte de Beaune, between 280 and 330 meters in altitude, the Corton-Charlemagne is largely exposed to the southwest. This vine was offered by Emperor Charlemagne in 775 to the collegiate church of Saint-Andoche de Saulieu.
The wine exudes a complex bouquet of citrus blossoms, honeyed notes, and subtle oak, leading to a palate of exquisite balance, rich minerality, and vibrant acidity. Its lingering finish leaves a lasting impression, making it a collector’s dream.
